Who doesn’t love the ooey, gooey sweet and crunchy combination of marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate? S’mores are a campfire favorite and have been so for generations. The next time you plan a camping trip considering mixing up your s’mores recipes so you can try some other varieties that are just as tasty, yet offer a different experience.
Waffle Cone S’mores
Creating your s’mores in a waffle cone allows you to eat them almost like an ice cream cone. This also makes mixing in smaller add ons, like individual candies, much easier. All you do is simply place your ingredients in the cone, wrap in foil and cook over the campfire until everything is melted together.
Cookie Butter S’mores
If you haven’t tried cookie butter then you’re missing out. Seriously. This popular spread can be found at any grocery store and tastes like cookies in spread form. Buy whatever flavor you want and spread it on your graham crackers before making your s’mores and you normally would. Other options for spreads would be to use peanut butter or Reese’s spread.
Triple Chocolate S’mores
The triple threat s’more is a delicious choice for anyone who LOVES chocolate. Pick up chocolate graham crackers, chocolate marshmallows and, of course, chocolate. Stack them together in one gooey chocolate s’mores stack and enjoy. Feeling extra crazy, make it a quadruple threat by dipping in chocolate syrup!
Cookie S’mores
This s’mores mod is super simple, yet incredibly genius. Simply swap out your graham crackers for your favorite cookies. Some great options include fudge stripe cookies, Oreos, Samoas and plain butter cookies. Each one adds a different flavor profile and texture that you will love.
Mint Chocolate Chip S’mores
Ever been to a certain Italian restaurant and enjoyed those mint chocolate Andes treats after your meal? Man, they’re delicious and, guess what, you can buy them at the grocery store! Pick up a box and substitute your traditional Hershey’s bars with Andes chocolates. You’ll love how the heat of melted marshmallows combines with the cool of mint.
